The third participant of the project, and an amateur actress taking part in the play directed by Gianluci Iumiento entitled “Right you are! If you think so”, is Daria Solna.
Daria has been living in Poland since the end of January 2019. She works in a coffee shop, takes care of her dog, dances and prepares for the entrance exams to a theatre school, while in her spare time she also writes, translates poetry/prose and paints.
Why did Daria decide to participate in the project?
“When I found out that this project was taking place, I sent my application right away. I didn’t think about it a lot, because I just felt that this was an opportunity to talk about a very important topic. Also, I didn’t think that I’ll be able to become one of the final four participants. I just wanted to see what the workshops would look like and to experience something in the process. In the end, it was a very important dialogue between all participants about emigration, emotions and war”.
Furthermore, this project provided her with an opportunity to express herself on important topics through art: “It allows to look at the theatre from the inside, work with professionals, and to face yourself, the stage as well as a big audience. It opens you up, liberates and changes something – something very important. I just think that it will be a very interesting adventure (it already is!) and everyone will find out what this SOMETHING really is.”
